2008 SOCIAL EVENTS CALENDAR

Quiz Night

There will be a quiz on Saturday 16th February at Witney Fire Station. The Quizmaster will be Tony Lock (all bribes considered!) and there will be a pot luck supper and probably a raffle on the night. See Tony Lock for details or to book your place.

London Marathon Bus

This has now been booked and will depart from the leisure centre at 6.00am on Sunday 13th April 2008.  Costs are £7 for members, and £9 non members.  Booking can be made after 1st February 2008 via Les Harrison or Adam Smith

Moonlight walk

Fox FM is organising a sponsored 9 mile moonlight walk through Oxford during the night of Saturday, 30 June 2007.  All proceeds will go to Sobell House Hospice and Help an Oxfordshire Child.  This is the first time this event has ever taken place, and places are limited.  The entry fee is £12.00 which includes a limited edition T-shirt.  Gaynor Mitchell is co-ordinating entries in bulk if you are interested, and can email the entry forms directly to you.  The good news is we can get some free publicity if we get a big enough group of people together, so let's all have a go!  Contact Gaynor on 01993 704926/07970 78 79 80 or gaynor@gaynor-the-trainer.co.uk.  She will also have some forms available at club night on Thursday.

Easter Egg Relays

Well he did it again !!!  After successfully bribing the selection team, Chairman Tony Lock went on to take top honours in the serious (but fun) Easter Egg Relay on Sunday.  Tony's team consisted of Phil Hailes, Adam Miles, Jade Hewlett and Callum McGuiness.  (It is understood that this team has been secretly practicing for weeks).

Sadly, the numbers were down, mainly because of holidays etc, but fun was had by all who attended. Well done to all. and thanks to Angie for sorting the eggs out.  No doubt, Tony had a double yodka
